05/01/11 - Meeting with Registrar
by Elnaz Moshfeghian
Senator Nathan Wicker and President Elnaz Moshfeghian had a lively meeting with the Registrar team on April 15th. We're taking a break from the project for finals but in the summer we're going to tackle reducing class times for 300 level and below courses in favor of meeting three times a week.
It might sound like meeting three times a week instead of twice is worse but it's widely known that meeting more often for shorter periods creates a better educational experience.

Shimer-IIT Proposal
This initiative is to enhance easier registration for classes between the institutions. It has been observed that most IIT students are not happy with the Humanities, Social Science and general Arts electives offered at the university. Shimer's curriculum offers a vast and diverse selection of classes in those fields and so it would be beneficial to IIT students to take advantage of that, and vice versa for Shimer students to take advantage of what IIT has to offer.
