SGA Executive Election Dates
The Student Government Association is moving the election dates forward 2 weeks to allow for more time to transition. Assuming that the Senate approves such an amendment next Tuesday, the Executive Elections schedule will be as follows:
February 16th --- Nominations Open for Executive Elections
March 9th --- Nominations Close for Executive Elections March 16th --- Executive Election Debate (tentative)
March 23rd --- Executive Elections held from 9am – 7pm
April 6th --- Swearing in of new Executive Board
Nominations may be made by emailing iitnominations@gmail.com or sga@iit.edu beginning February 16th. Positions open for nomination include:
Student Body President
Executive Vice President & President of the Senate
Vice President of Communications
Finance Board Chair
Vice President of Academic Affairs
Vice President of Student Life
Students need not be a current member of SGA to be nominated, and self-nominations are acceptable. Candidates nominated will need to accept within a week of nominations closing and attend a candidate orientation.
