Student Org Funding Cap Removed
The Student Senate voted on February 2 to change an SGA by-law, which placed a cap on the amount of funding student organizations could be given from Finance Board. Previously, organizations (with few exceptions) were not given more than $1000 of operating funds per academic year.
Those in favor of removing the limit claimed that drastic and unpredictable variations in both size and involvement of student organizations made predetermined limits overly restrictive and hindering to an organization’s potential.
